Have you ever had this great craving for pizza? So great you tell yourself you can eat an entire 36-inch pizza?
What!!! A 36-inch pizza? Is there such thing?! YES!!! Calda Pizza has that.
Originally from Cebu, Calda Pizza now has its branch in the Metro. At Madison Square, Pioneer, Mandaluyong to be exact.
The 36-inch pizza is so huge you'd get full just by looking at it. It's so huge some customers had to have their car's backseat folded just for the pizza to fit in the trunk (luckily, we didn't have to do that).
Bad side though they only serve pizza and calzone. NO PASTA! But the crust, man! It's heaven! It's soft and chewy even when you eat it fresh from the fridge.
Sizes of pizzas vary from 10inches to the whopping 36inch kind. Prices range from 130php until 965php. Now to enjoy the goodness of that humongous 36inch pizza, just add 250php to the price of their Super 30" pizza and is applicable to all flavors.
Here's our pizza:
Pardon the squished side, I had to incline the pizza box so it'd fit the door. Haha.
It's 36inches of pure goodness. Flavors: Pepperoni, Margherita, Roma, and Napoletana.
We still have leftovers!
The verdict:
Who doesn't love pizza? I suggest you drive to Madison Square! Bring friends haha.
Place: ☻☻☻ out of 5 (al fresco dining on picnic tables, they only have 5 tables or six I guess)
Food: ☻☻☻☻ out of 5
Service: ☻☻☻ out of 5 (we bought a 36", a 20" and a 10" and we waited for 2hours! But it's all good considering the number of customers.)

For The Road!
I discovered this place yesterday, it was the only non-air-conditioned restaurant among this row of restaurants and I saw "fish and chips" written on its mirror wall... so I decided to give it a shot.
The place is called For The Road... pretty catchy eh? It's at Madison Square in Pioneer, Mandaluyong.
Their iced tea was divine! I bet it's because of the syrup. Bottomless iced tea is priced 80php.
First thing I got was Garlic Mushroom. It was okay... there's nothing special about it. The sauce was kinda nice but something's lacking.
Their Fish and Chips was okay... but I've had better. The fish was cooked perfectly but it lacks flavor. Oh yeah and they only serve it with mayo and ketchup. NO TARTAR SAUCE :( It would've been better if the fish is that flavorful so there wouldn't be a need for tartar sauce. The fries reminded me of McDonald's fries.
Local beer costs 35php per bottle, the usual price.
I have never tried Chocolate Martini and when I saw it in their menu, it excited me. I can't wait to go back and try that.
The verdict:
Go to this place after a long day. Non-smokers, I suggest you go someplace else because the entire restaurant's not air-conditioned giving smokers the free pass to smoke anywhere. Food is okay... not the worst I've had but, again, I've had better. I LOVE THEIR ICED TEA! But their service, THE BEST!

The Stock Market
Last night some friends and I went to Bonifacio High Street to watch AJ Rafael (of YouTube.com fame) play at Mag:Net. Unfortunately, when we got there, the place was packed!
Our itinerary for the night wasn't followed so we eagerly skipped to dinner instead.
After minutes of arguments on where we're going to eat, someone took the initiative to decide for everyone: The Stock Market.

Caesar Salad with Chicken
There's nothing really special about it. Needs more dressing but since I'm trying to diet, it's not bad.
Chicken's too salty for my liking, though. :)
I forgot what it's called...
but it's Fish in Marinara sauce (plus capers)
I love capers so this dish is a winner! The fish was cooked perfectly plus the sauce!!!
ORGASMIC!
What turned me off though was the pasta. It's too garlic-y.
:)
Smothered Pork Chops
My friend, Arianne, ordered this.
Since I was thinking of blogging about our dining experience at The Stock Market, she offered me a bite off of her dish so I'd get to review more than two dishes.
Wait.
I think I forced her to let me try it.
Wait!!!
NO! She was kind enough to offer everyone one of the two slices of pork on her plate.
The meat was rubbery... needs more time on the stove ;)
But the sauce was divine!
The smashed sweet potato was okay but I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes so...
Chocolate Fondue
The sweet ending! Everything in the platter = AMAZING! Especially those tiny cheesecakes.
The tiny brownies were to die for as well.
And the melted chocolate.. WOOOH! Eat it with someone special then you're off to an "interesting" night.
:)
MORE FOOD! MORE FOOD! MORE FOOD! MORE FOOD! MORE FOOD
My other friends ordered:
(dishes I wasn't able to try but made it on our table)
Herb-Roasted Chicken
