More From Unouomedude
Here's something new from Florida dude Unouomedude
The song's called Buildings and it's as good as his previous songs. It's catchy and dreamy... still. Perfect on a sunny day while frolicking along the beach with the sounds pumped up or when you're sprawled out on the couch. Can somebody out there give this guy a really big break! Dope. Dope. DOPE!

Pet Lions' Propeller Plane
It's never to late... as long as it's a good song, it always matters.
So it's a fact that I'm a big Pet Lions fan... I listen to their songs almost everyday. And another fact: there are days when the blogging-feeling isn't there. Thus, I keep on forgetting to post this one. Girls of Athens is my wake up song. It never fails to perk me up. So remember, for a good waking up ( regardless of what time of the day you wake up) you can get their songs here.
But since I can't find a YouTube, SoundCloud, (or anything) clip/file of it, here's one that's equally good: Propeller Plane.

Young Liars' Colours
I love getting tips on bands to watch out for. Imagine the idea of unraveling something not totally spoiled and at its rawest form.
Guys, here's Young Liars, a Vancouver-based band set to make it big. They don't sound like anyone. Period. Their song Colours is punk, electronic, pop, and funk rolled in one tortilla. The moment the song ends, you'd want to play it again... and again. And again. I wanna hear more!
Oh yeah, by the way, Young Liars is set to go on tour with Oh No! Yoko in August (details to be posted).
Another BTW, you can download the MP3 of Colours here or click the download button on the player.

Learning Perfume Genius
So here's a genius:
He's Mike Hadreas aka Perfume Genius. His songs are mostly dramatic and melancholic but they are catchy. He definitely imparts his life to every song he's made (and hopefully, and about to make). He kinda sounds like Chris Garneau but you can still tell which is which. Here's Learning by Perfume Genius.

I'm a 90s Kid
Here's a song to amp up your mood.
I remember growing up in the 90s... well some parts of it. I wake up, go to school, go home, watch Richie Rich on Cartoon Network while having lunch. Talk on the phone. Watch All That. Use Walkman. Buy cassette tapes with free posters. Sing Mmmbop. Thought Amanda Bynes was the "cutest" girl on TV. Buy headphones with neon colored wires. Wore Skechers shoes and feel really cool about it. Worship the Spice Girls. Oh No! Yoko. I'm part of the 90s Kids.
I tried to be clever. I rest my case.

Orange Sky
Alexi Murdoch was recommended to me at Last.fm so I gave it a shot.
According to his page, his most popular song's Orange Sky... I listened to it. Now I know why. This one has been featured far too many times from 2004 (at Garden State) up to 2009 (featured along with other Alexi Murdoch songs in Away We Go's soundtrack... so I have to see the film. Plus John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph star in it). Thanks Wikipedia haha.

French Series: Je T'aime Mais
So many posts to make so little time! And most songs are in my laptop... but it's gone dunzo.
Here's for my French Series. But my French's gone rusty... and online translators don't help that much. So it's up to the melody and how words are sung to translate what the song means. It's a sad one I bet. The song's called Je T'aime Mais by Zazie. Funny though that this song is not included in Zazie's Wikipedia page. Really weird. But the friend who told me about this song is a French DJ so who am I to argue. LOL. Anyhoo, here yah go!
photo's not of the artist.. I used it cuz I think it's funny haha
One of The Most Beautiful Love Songs
I've been busy with the job hunt and found it impossible to update. Sorry.
Here's a beautiful love song. I don't know from when's this from but it's part of Prom Night's - a 2008 film - soundtrack. It's Your Eyes by Gary King (sorry for the lack of info on this guy). Listen to it... it makes me want to cuddle. Yeah. Just cuddle. That's how lame I am haha.

Life As A Movie
Momentum, please stay. I'm loving this blogging spirit. Stay. Forever.
My friend asked me to feature this: Set My Baby Free by Ian Brown. My friend went, "It's the perfect movie soundtrack," and I agree. She actually made posting this easier cuz our conversation's filled with her idea and here are some of them: and when you listen to it imagine you smoking it's like they're dollying in on you. Very well said, that's exactly how I feel... life feels like a movie while listening to it.

Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh
I woke up early with a surprisingly good mood... so to share the positivity (despite North Korea was crushed by Portugal) how about a little song with beautiful words. Haha
So I was browsing through the TV when I stumbled upon this really lame looking channel but the music it was currently playing was so good. Don't You Know You're Beautiful by Seabird. It's for those who think their life is a mess... there's someone out there who believes in you. Damn it, that idea's gone cliché since I don't know when. Anyhoo, the song's magic suddenly disappeared come chorus but regains it towards the end. The uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uhh part plus the (almost) whispering first verse was the dope part.
I really wish they pushed through the whispering vibe.

Baghdad Me and The Hitman Joseph
I remember this one time when I found myself at some site where most were raving about this Napoleon song... so I gave looked for it.
And yeah the song's Baghdad Me and The Hitman Joseph. Now I know why everyone's digging this song. It's soul, fun, whimsical, funky, groovy, catchy... I don't know what else. Napoleon is a Swedish band that rocked my world upon discovery.Oh yeah, you can download this song on their site.
This post goes out to my friend who fell in love with the song :)

Facelift: Electrocution
As always, I was in the car when I heard of a song; it pleased my ear. Nada Surf never fails to do that.
Taken from their covers album, If I Had a Hi-Fi, Electrocution (originally by Bill Fox) sends of this sunny-summery vibe perfect for the summer. Blah! It's a keeper!Other songs to rave about in the album are: Janine (Russell cover), You Were So Warm (Dwight Twilley Cover) - it's kinda like Blonde on Blonde fused with Always Love, - and Bright Side (Soft Pack Cover).
This album's sunshine filled. I swear.

Flashback: Porque Te Vas
I remember it was a Sunday... I was watching this Spanish TV show (which I barely understood) where people would take turn to sing a certain song. Then they sang this:
Porque Te Vas by Jeanette. It's an oldie, it was release in the 70's but up to this point in time it sounds relevant. The beat and everything is very perky. The only problem is, I can hardly understand it but I love it. I found a French version of the song too.

It's A Mistake
ArjanWrites.com says "emerging British vocalist Sam Taylor likes to call himself a pop balladeer to emphasize his penchant for belting out heartfelt torch songs." And he's nailed it.
His song It's A Mistake delivered that desire pretty well. I was so moved I even asked him for the song's lyrics so I could try to sing along with it. But I sounded terrible... as always. And he did post by the way. Now I'm planning to make a friend cry with this song
Anyway, this guy is really awesome he could sweep everyone off of their feet... or shatter every heart. Cuz he's great, like that.
And if only every breakup-related dialogs are done this way, I'd gladly hop in to one relationship after the other. There you go! I tried to be clever.

Facelift: Girls Just Want To Have Fun
So. It's a hot day. And it's time for a hot music.
I'm sure you've heard of, if not sang along with, Cindy Lauper's Girls Just Want To Have Fun. Yeah? Covered not so long ago, by Starfucker/Strfkr, it's gotten a face-lift. You'd notice it as soon as the first word's said.
Oh yeah, Starfucker is an indie-electronica band from Portland, Oregon formed in 2007. Changed their name to PYRAMID then to Pyramiddd then back to Starfucker or Strfkr. Listen to Medicine too.

Collision: Whatever You Like
It's collision time again! One song. Two versions. Two artists.
Whatever You Like is originally done by T.I. then covered by Anya Marina.
T.I. and Anya, both American. T.I.'s hip hop and rap, Anya's indie, acoustic, pop-ish, and alternative.
Both make parties dope. Both are awesome. But which one's better?

UNOUOUSMOREMUSICDUDE
Acts with really catchy names excite me. Cuz for sure, their sound has to be as awesome as their name.
One of the catchiest name I've ever encountered is of a guy called Unouomedude. He's from Florida and his sound works like drugs. First time I listened to his Island Summer, I acted like a lunatic. No deets, it's the most fucked up thing.
Oh yeah, BTW his name's read as YOU-KNOW-YOU-OWE-ME-DUDE and he's awesome.
His Tumblr. Twitter. And free songs here.

They Really Spit Hot Fire
Summer here is over. Been busy pigging out, doing nothing to help me earn, and exploring the internet for its best hidden secret... music-wise.
Latest find is my new favorite band Spit Hot Fire - a band based in New York City. Basically, they fuse all the musical genres I listen to - reggae, alternative, rock, and pop - and dude, trust me: IT WORKS!
Player is one of their best songs. It's chill, funky, rock and roll... I told you, it's everything popped in one and will take you to musical orgasm. But my favorite would have to be Goodbye Lullaby. Damn it! That's all I can say. And Every Weekend Night too.
Listen to their tracks online and download their songs here. You're up to pure awesomeness. Note: Read so you'd know where and how to download.
Follow them on Twitter too.
